Technical Requirements

Almine's transmissions are delivered in the MP3 format. These files can be downloaded and played on your computer audio player. On Windows this is - unless configured otherwise - Windows Media Player. On Mac this is iTunes. If you wish to not be bound to your computer when listening to Almine's transmissions, you must transfer the files to a portable MP3 player. (MP3 files cannot be copied to a disc to be played in a CD player.)

Alternatively you can play the MP3 audio files in the online audio player. To do so, please ensure that your browser's Flash Player is updated (see below). If you are using an iPhone or iPad, you will not be able to use the online audio player. (In fact, most smartphones do not support Flash.) However, on Apple mobile devices you can click the download link to the file, which will open it in its native Quicktime audio player.

The text files are in the PDF format and you'll require a PDF reader to open these. We recommend Adobe Reader - click here to get Adobe Reader. Other readers will work as well, however note that they may not support features such as PDF layers, which you'll need to access if you wish to disable the ink-heavy headers in the PDF files (when printing). Go here for instructions on how to disable a layer in Adobe Reader.

Web Browser

It is important to ensure that your browser of choice is updated. For our part, we suggest Firefox or Chrome, but any of the browsers below will do. As long as it is up to date. Click on any of the links below to get an updated browser:

Flash Player

Your browser contains Flash technology, which is required for the online audio player. Please ensure the so-called Flash Player is updated as well.

Java

The chatroom technology requires Java to be up to date on your computer. Click here to update Java
